What We Collect
CyberSec Hub is a static educational website. We do not require accounts, and we do not collect names, emails, or personal details through the site itself (the newsletter form only saves your email in your own browser's local storage — nothing is sent to us).
Learning Progress, Leaderboard & Certificates
Our learning progress tracker, leaderboard and certificates store information only in your own browser's local storage — the list of guides and missions you completed, your points, and the name you type for a certificate. Nothing is sent to us or to any server. The leaderboard shows only your own progress on your own device — there is no public scoreboard and no account. The link safety checker runs entirely in your browser: the URLs you check are never sent anywhere. The security tip of the day stores nothing. Clearing your browser data erases your progress, scores and certificate name.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which guides are helpful. Analytics collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, device type, approximate location). You can opt out with browser extensions or Do-Not-Track settings.
Cookies
Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish visits, but it loads only after you press "Accept" on our cookie banner. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. No advertising cookies are set by us directly.
Advertising
We plan to show ads via Google AdSense to keep this site free. When enabled, Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
External Links
Our guides link to official tool websites (e.g., kali.org, wireshark.org). Their privacy practices are their own.
Children
This site is educational and family-friendly, but it is written for teens and adults. Parents should supervise younger readers.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
